Put Your Clothes On

Are you clothed? Or are you naked? A man left Jerusalem for Jericho. He got attacked on the way. He was stripped of his clothing and left wounded and naked. Jerusalem represents the presence of God. When we leave the presence of God, we give room for spiritual attack that leaves us wounded and naked.

What are some garments we need to put on as children of God?

  1. Praise to God (Isaiah 61:3)

  2. Salvation (Isaiah 61:10)

  3. Righteousness (Isaiah 61:10)

  4. Holiness (Exodus 28:3)

  5. New in Christ (1 Kings 11:30) (2 Corinthians 5:16,17)

  6. White (Revelation 3:5) - Victorious

  7. Wedding (Matthew 22:11,12) (Revelation 19:7,8)

A backslider is filled with his ways (Proverbs 14:14). But active believers walk in holy and beautiful garments of glory (Exodus 28:2). The thieves represent Satan, who comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).

Dearly beloved of Christ, Jesus is coming for the spiritual church. The perfected church eagerly awaits and is obedient to God’s word, remaining in the fullness of gifts.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
